I have a 2001 gs and have seen the 06 gs's with l.e.d. lights that shine on the license plate and was wondering if anyone has info on if this can be preformed on the 2gen gs as far as install and what model of bulb(?) or if this is sold as a kit possilby. Thanks for any help you can provide.

its just a bulb and it can be done on our gs, i seen a couple of people with it done here on CL. I want this done too.

Thanks for the replys. I looked at superbrightleds.com's site and got confused at all the selections, does any one have the bulb skew # or exact name of the kit? And how do you get to the bulbs themselves? Thanks again. And that black GS is tough!! How much for a set of those tail lights? ( and no ebay junk nor the $1400 jp lights)

also, led tails could run anywhere from couple hundred to less than $1k, incl inners. of course those are ballpark figs (used vs new).

best MOD for cheap to make the car look newer. I notice Lexus started this but now BMW has it also.... i have it on my car and it looks nice and white from even far away. Got the Polarg brand bulbs off EBAY

I also changed my license plate lights with L.E.D's. I got some lights from ebay, but here is an old light thread that may be helpful with the website and sizes. I used this sight to change all of my interior lights to super white/halogen like color. Hope this helps.

huh, so would 194 bulb fit (autolumination.com lists 194 and 2835 under the same page)? I have a set of white 194 LEDs I haven't used yet.

The bulbs are 194. I like the 1 watt high power LEDs for this purpose.

I dont think the 12-led 194 bulbs will fit there..but I'm not sure...9 led shud be enough..or hte wide angle bulb!
