Borrowing a GS3 from a Lexus dealer
Here's my situation: I want a larger car to replace my '95 Miata so I've been lurking around CL for awhile reading up on 2nd Gen GS300/400s. I made up my mind and I'm going with a GS300. Anyway, I went to my local dealer where one of my friends is hooking me up with one of the sales reps. There are two GS300s that I'm looking at.
1.) '00 ~100k, black on black -> 13.9 grand
2.) '00 ~53k, platinum white -> 15.5 grand (after a hook-up deal)
The thing is, I've wanted a black GS. The white one is all good but I don't really care about the platinum edition stuff. I test drove the white one on regular streets and for a few miles on the highway. Very nice and comfy.
The rep let me borrow the white one for 24 hours to help me decide. He's trying to sway me away from the black GS. I want a GS but I don't think I want to spend the extra few grand on a GS with lower mileage.
Could you guys help a future bro out?

The white one sounds like the better deal. The black one has too many miles for me to even consider.
If you really want black, do not buy any of them and keep lookin for one with lower miles.
My first car was black on black. After I had it for two years, now I switched to all white cars, black is a headache to keep clean, and white always stays clean.
Although I have 2 white cars now, Id have to say black is the best color. White holds a strong 2nd though

You have to decide what's a priority. Some prefer a specific color while others prefer practical things like low miles. A poll would have been a good way to go with this question.
I vote: go with the low miles......gives you some instant equity in the car. That's always a good thing!

I recently bought both. A white gs300 for the wife and a beautiful black gs400 for me.
If you want black, hold out and get what you want. I did and I am very happy for it.
