Default Ok, I have a dumb question

I just bought a 03' GS300 and it has the yellow fog lights and I think it looks awful w/the HID lights...

Is there a way to change the blubs to a clear look so it looks better w/the hids?

Thanks

Oh so the actual fog lamp is yellow inside? Cause it looks clear when the fog lamp is off.

Any ideas where I can buy the clear at?

I'm sorry again w/the dumb questions I'm new to Lexus, I'm a BMW guy.

i actually like the yellow fogs/HID theme. It makes Lexus a Lexus. But you can BUY clear foglights OR TRADE with someone on the forums.

Someone I work with just told me the same thing. Maybe I'll leave it.

If you're interested in clear ones, I have them and wouldn't mind switching with you. I'm in southern CT.

6000k hid bulb gives off a blue color. If you want something closer to stock you can go with 4300k which gives slightly more light output. Also, the color would be closer to the stock hid color.

Could you use it w/the stock hid set up? and I replyed to your PM and it wouldn't go though.

I'm in Chicago right now, and won't be back in NYC for a week ir so.

When I get back I'll PM you and we can do the trade.

I personally think the yellow in a luxury car is the coolest thing and I always loved it since the late 80s with the first generation Legend and the first generation LS sporting them. That was one of the options I could not pass up when I got my GS.

Anywho, it's your car, do what you want. And try using the search function first, you'd be amazed by the amount of resource available.

So your fog is hid? Does it need a balast?

You can go with either a kit from the forum sponsor xenon depot or ebay kit. They do come with ballast. Let me know when you get back to New York.
