Basically stock halogen bowls are not made for HID and WILL cause more glare to un-coming traffic. How much depends on how you have them aimed and color of your bulbs. I've been there with 5000K bulbs. I hated the glare and had the lights pointed down so low it defeated the purpose of HIDs in the 1st place. If you want HID go retrofit and you won't be disappointed. Don't do what I did and go from stock to ebay to retrofit.

Cheers
thanks olu. yeah, it looks little weird when daytime. lol
hope i can sell my bmw fast and become GS guy.

so $300+ q45 projector and my own GS stock headlight?

Yes. Consider the LS430 projectors. Better output then the Q45, but not as unique looking.

when it comes down to NO HIDS IN NON PROJECTORS

Its all about how much money you want to spend.

Either your a perfectionist or you save some and it isnt as blinding as people say it to be. Theres alot of non GS's. Like civics/accords/camrys/alot of cars that have HIDS in there non projector and it seems fine.

Its personal choice. Do what makes you feel good.

Don't do what makes you feel good if it's going to be at the expense of others. Other motorist are momentarily blinded by HIDs installed incorrectly. It has nothing to do with perfection, it has to do with consideration for others.

The same could be said for projectors. I have to have my Q45's aiming low because when I had them lifted higher so I could see farther, I got highbeams flashed at me constantly. I has nothing to do with projector or reflective lens.

If he plans on keeping the stock GS430 headlight (which I thought came with 4300k HID's stock but I could be wrong), it'll have the autoleveling feature which would aid in the leveling process.

AAC (Advanced Automotive Concepts)

$300 is labor ONLY.

Total cost would be anywhere from $800-$1200

LS430 projectors $300
HID Ballasts and D2S bulbs $200-300
Separate set of OEM headlamps (if needed) $100-300

ahh, okay, gotcha, wow, you had me going there for a min, 300 for a set of OE projectors 100000x better than ebay ones, hahaha, i guess it was to good to be true. So as far as the HID's go we would have to go with the LS400 ones right, we cant use our balast and bulb?

You can use any HID projector. I've seen RX330 projectors as cheap as $50. You can use your own ballast, but you will need a D2S bulb. I just wanted the LS430 due to the performance.
