Default 19x9.5 47 offset with 285 tires fit okay?

I'm still looking for a GS300 with black leather but I just picked up a set of wheels for the car.

Specs:
19x8 +49 255/40/19
19x9.5 +47 285/35/19

Do you think I'd have some problems with rubbing or fitment? Car will be lowered around 1.5".

Thanks in advance.

im running 19x8 (+38) on FRONT w/ 255/40/19 and drop 1.8"...no rubbing issue. But most people use 245/35 for the front.

285 is too big for a 9.5 width. I would go with a 275, as for rubbing you have about 15mm of clerance, so you are ok.

i swear this 'offset' thing is a science. must have ditched school that day, teacher was giving that lesson, LOL!

anyway, the Fonz is too cool and as always, right. go with 275's on 9.5's in rear. i'm on a 10 +48 in rear on 275's. so your definitely fine. Yes, i'm really conservative, but i roll with minimal gap in rears.

I don't know about too cool
I don't even have 275s on my 9.5 I got 245s for the strech I need not to rub. I missed that class too, but I copied someones notes I might get 275s on my new wheels

Thanks for the info guys. The front +49 offset is okay also?

The wheels came with pretty new tires. With the 285/35/19 is the problem mainly with speed calibration or rub issues with the suspension?

Specie,
The offsets are extremely weak for a GS. Those would work for an IS300.

I would go with a 30 offset for front and 35 for rear, if not more with those widths.

As far as rubbing is concerned, I don't think you will have any problems whatsoever. I would recommend 235/35/19 for the fronts and 265/30/19 for the rears. The tires provided are way too tall and wide.

Sorry but you should have done more research before you bought those wheels.

Well, the 40 series and 35 series is like running a "fat" set-up. However, the offsets are pretty high, so you may need spacers so they don't look too tucked in to the wheel wells (also means you won't have any problems with rubbing).

Offsets are pretty conservative-- especially the fronts since they are 8" wide. I have 07' GS430 wheels... they are 18x8 et45 and it looks pretty sunken in. Your front wheels are even more conservative than my stockers. You will probably want to run spacers to push the wheels out a bit.
