Trunk W/ spoiler question
I got an OEM spoiler for my trunk that didn't come with spoiler. i adjusted the tension bar to the max, but still it's very loose. it will slam very hard when i try to close it. does anyone have that problem? what did u guys do?

I have adjusted it to high tension and woot, the trunk now pops when I remote release the trunk!
but a problem I had though, it bounces and doesn't want to lock and I have to slam it a bit to lock.... which had been happening before I adjusted the tension....

i called up the dealer today. it cost 35 dollars a piece, u need 2. so 70 dollars. and 40 dollars to get it installed. i can't wait for it to be done. i live in san francisco, every time i part at uphill my trunk always falls and hit whoever is opening it. man it hurts like a B&#CH. finally. shoulda done it a long time ago,.!

You can also try drilling a new hole for the tension bar so that it has more leverage/pressure.
I was able to increase the leverage by moving it over about 2 inches.
You just need to remove or fold back the side panels and drill a hole as far as you can from the existing spot.
I have the RMM spoiler and it did the trick for me.
