Default Scary Surprise

So, I went to install my nitrous lines under the car today. Jacked up the car from the front and put a jack stand under it. Jacked it up from the rear and this is what happened!

Literally everything is as it should be. All lug nuts are still on and everything!

The Ball joint bolt was freakin missing! The codding pin was gone as well as the nut! How long was this like that? I don't know! Scary considering i had a road trip tomorrow to AL. Thanks to Shin (CarbonIS), we went to the hardware store and got a replacement nut and codding pin!

That would have not been a good experience for a road trip and something major happens on your way.

Its good to have my mechanic check that out every oil change. Knowing me I get used to the subtle changes that become huge.

It's a cotter pin. I had that happen to me in my old Honda Accord doing 80 MPH on the highway. I was attempting to get off my exit, but my car did not want to turn... it just continued to go straight??? Could have been much worse...
