Car shakiness: does it do it for 2nd gen GS430?
I'm possibly looking into getting a new car: GS430 or LS430. I tried to search this section on the "car shaking" to see which models were affected, but it mostly that many members who own 98-00 are reporting.
I'm sorry for not searching more intensively, but could perhaps anyone who owns a GS430 shine some light on this?

I have a 2002 GS430 and have no shakes since I had my tires road forced balanced. The first shop said they balanced them as good as their machine could but I still felt some shimmy. I have snows on now and she still rides smooth. Both sets tires run on OEM rims, 17in 5 spoke and the snows on 16's.

Are you talking about front end vibration, aka steering wheel shake?
If so, the older 98-00 are prone to caster arm bushing failure. They're just old rubber that has seen better days. Eventually the 01-05 will have the same problem, just give it time. We also have to keep in mind that most owners on the forum own 98-02 GS. There aren't too many 03-05 members on here.

LS430 should be moddable as the GS. It's a 3uz-fe engine. You got headers, exhaust, intake, etc. I say get the LS430. Sometimes it's nice to have a change. Besides, an LS430 with some mods will look awesome.
