Default Slight vibration at idle

I have a GS430 with around 58k on the clock. This happens at random times. When I am stopped and I am in gear I sometimes notice a slight vibration. As soon as I put it in neurtal is goes away. Its not a big deal but I feel like a Lexus V8 should be silkly smooth at all times. I drive a V8 Tundra as well and it does nothing of the sort.

Anyone experience this? I haven't tried anything yet to get rid of it.

I have noticed this too, I thought I might be imagining it. It is very slight.

Motor mounts were inspected and are good. I cant feel it through the streering wheel or anything. I feel it when i have my left leg resting against the door and the my right resting on the side of the shifter console. Im 6 foot 4 so my legs are always resting there.

That happens when your idel goes below 800 rpms.

same here, its due to the dreaded low idle issue that Lexus seems unable to resolve.

Its sooooo freaking annoying. I throw it in neutral every time it does it. Im suprised with the annoying little things the car does. The sunroof also makes an annoying little rattle at random times.

My car doesn't really have much of a problem once its warmed up. Occasionally I do get a small vibration here and there, but most of the time it's smooth.

True, it's the dreaded low idle issue. When I'm idling in "D" at a red light for example with the A/C off, I'm idling at 400 RPM's or a little less. Feels like the car's going to cut off but it doesn't. Good luck with the fix since there's no throttle cable to adjust like you could in the old GS400's. We've got the drive by wire system.

you should only have a slight vibration at idle in D with foot on brake, no ac or headlights on(both will raise idle slighty and make vibrations go away).

what you feel is a combo of the low idle and your motor mounts are going bad. they can't tell until they are out. mine were warrantied at 37k & it made a huge difference. the mounts are soft and don't last long at all.

I have a CPO.....is that something that they would cover....replacement of the motor mounts? My 60k service is coming up. I am going to make a fuss about it when I pull into the bay.

They tried so hard and declined me twice at two different dealerships. Now I have to change them on my own since I just passed the 70K mark

What about dirty throttle body?

Mine goes away after a couple minutes of driving after it's warmed up pretty good.
It shakes pretty good but goes away in Neutral.

This is next on my to-do list anyways.
