Help pick my new paint!
Cashing in my one free paint token for a paintjob.
Car is spectra blue mica right now. I want to go with either:
Verdigris Mica
Black Opal Mica (looks more like current paintjob)
Noble Spinel Mica
Which should it be?

Spectra is a pretty desireable color, are you sure you want to tone it down?
Verdigris would be interesting for about a week, then it would be a total yawn. The later model 2GS actually was available with a factory color in this family.
I like the Black Opal (I think we call it Black Sapphire here in the US) but it's so dark it might as well be black. The blue is subtle.
Noble Spinel is stunning in person. What color is your interior?
Also, to do a real color change is a heap of work. Are you going to pull the engine? Is this a high-end job or a Maaco job? Unless you're spending BIG bucks on a kick-**** job, I would stay with a color closer to stock; then you won't have to shoot all the jambs, trunk, engine bay, etc. At a minimum a good color change should be at least $10K (I spent more than that without doing the engine bay or the jambs).
Love to see 2GS guys painting their cars, as long as it's a high quality job.
That being said, when they do it, very few guys take chances with color or design!

The job is high quality, I hooked the guy up with some big dollar parts and he said he'd paint my Lexus or Mercedes for free. Jams, trunk, engine bay, ect...
I found some pictures late last night of the cypress colored GS's and I think thats out of the question. My interior is tan. I'm really leaning tword Noble Spinel BUT its much easier to paint it blue and blend that color into my existing blue.
I'd like go the chrome route: Chrome trunk bar, handles, inner headlight rings, and fabulous grill. I think it'd look best in redd but theres something about that blue.....

I promise you that I will kick you sqaure in the nuts if you paint that car any color other than it already is. Get the Wald kit and respray the car and the jams with fresh paint and be sure he does a nice job on the post paint work.
That is a promise. It stays blue or you get a nut shot.
