Default Transmission slip doesnt want to go into 1st from dead stop

I changed my radiator last week. while i was at it I drained and refilled the tranny fluid. Yesterday my transmission started slipping from a stop into 1st. I didnt use the wrong fluid, I overfilled it but not by much. I drained a little out last night to make sure it was perfict hopeing that might be the issue. It never slipped before yesterday and now today it hardly wants to go into 1st. Is there a filter that maybe got pluged up by me draining out the fluid when i changed the radiator? I have 140,000 miles. Do Lexus trannys go out just like that? That fast? I thought that it would be more gradual than this. One day it works prefict the next its all f-ed up.

i drain and refilled mine.. it was ok. maybe yours was about to go out, by doing drain and refill some of the gunk fell off your tranny. that's y people were saying if u haven't done tranny flush for high miles, dont do it. it will mess up your tranny.

Did you check the fluid level when the transmission is hot? If the tranny is resting and cooled down, the fluid level on the dipstick will rise a lot. It'll look like you've overfilled it, but you really didn't. Check it again when the transmission is hot enough (shift through the gears and possibly drive the car around for at least 10 minutes). Park your car with the engine running and check the dipstick. Should be within the HOT region. This might be a case of underfilling.
