Default Gs400 price check

I found this car and it seems like a good deal. It is at an acura dealership. I ran carfax and it is a one owner and everything checks out good. Then I called lexus in my city and ran a check on the vin for service records and all of it has been done. He said it was taken very good care of by the records. Said the only bad thing is it would need another 90,000 mile service soon. All service had been done on time and at lexus.
tell me what you all think

Car looks great...Service records speak for themselves...drive and look it over real good...If you are happy with that I would say buy it..The miles would not bother me if it was taken care of.

Yep, the next 90K mile service is about $1000-$1200 for the T-Belt, water pump, etc. replacement. So you need to take that into consideration. Otherwise, not bad.

That price isn't really that great with that many miles. You have to check the car out in person and test drive it when buying high mileage cars, but if everything checks out and its maintained, try to knock down the price and do it.

Pass. This car is unsellable; you would need to own it forever

why is this car unsellable? i dont see a problem with it. if it was high mileage without any records then maybe, but everything checks out. as long as he test drives the vehicle and see no problems, i dont think this car would have any problem selling.

That doesnt make any damn sense. All cars are eventually gonna get miles I rather have a high mileage lexus than a high mileage bimmer or benz.

Seems like a good deal. See if you can strike a deal with them for them to do the 90k service, but at a discount.

look at most 1998 cars and see how many miles they have. I would say most of them have around that on average. what good is a car if you dont drive it. and that is what you do if you dont put miles on it. Right!! I called my local lexus dealer and gave them the vin number and they said it had been taken real good care of. Had all the service done when it was supposed to. Only bad thing was it was due for 90k service again at 180,000.

95% agreed. We know it'll last, but outside of our proud world, most of the general public and a lot of car enthusiasts would agree 200K miles is a lot of darn miles. The seller may be proud, but the buyer might not be... I'd pass, and watch how long that car stays on his lot.

ok so with your thinking i could say the same thing with one with 120,000 miles. if i keep it 5 years it will have the same amount on it as the car im going to buy and i wont be able to sell it right. and i will have paid more money for it. and maybe in worse shape. right.
