My final mod (the only one in existence)
So for those of you who don't know I'm more or less done with the GS and will be wasting money on my other recreational vehicle now
However, I couldn't end the modding spree without a bang. This has been in the works for almost 4 months now but it was well worth the wait.
I'd like to introduce you to the first and only set (for now) of LS460 projectors retrofitted into a 2GS. My requirements for this retro were that every single function of my OEM HIDs would still work. Basically, I wanted the set to act as if it had rolled off the factory floor. The LS460 projectors are also a half inch larger than the LS430s so they fill the GS housing very nicely.
Details on the set:
LS460 projector low-beams with Philips 4300K D2S bulbs
Custom made inner high-beam projectors by constructing two sets of projectors into one.
CFFL Halos around inner projectors
Gunmetal housing
Cleared blinker housing
Also the fog light housings were painted to color match the retrofit.
I still have DRL, Auto-leveling, etc. For everyone wanting improved light output, don't cut corners and do it right. It is well worth it!
Now on to the pics! Sorry about the really old camera but this was all I had at the moment. The night pic isn't great, but you can get a general idea of the beam.
Everything off:

Night shot, cutoff can be seen on the right:

So that being said, i have to ask, how much was the whole conversion. okay, took 4 months, and where did you get the parts, I SOOOO want to do this too, but i dunno about patients, 4 mo is way to long for me.....
been wanting to do this and get away from the ebay junk, and this looks like a perfect candidate....

Thanks for the compliments guys! I can't take credit for the retrofit work because I did not perform it. Due to forum rules (bleh) I won't say who I went through here but I will ask him if it is OK to give out his name via PM.
I will really try to get some better shots soon
