I'm with 4ntvings, its your money and your car. Even when I speak to people looking for wheels, I always preface personal opinions with "IN MY OPINION" or "THIS IS MY PERSONAL FEELINGS ON IT, DO WHAT YOU LIKE".

Giovanna wheels are not necessarily bad,cc they are just overpriced for what they are. They have done a EXCELLENT job of branding, thus they carry a premium connotation even though they are just as plebian as any other 1pc cast chrome wheel.

Also for the fitment it sounds like you want, you may need a custom wheel

I am probablly going to get bashed for this on here but this is the decision I made.
Giovanna Ararat 20" Chrome http://superbuytires.com/Giovanna/Ararat/
Front 20x8.5 - 245/35/20
Rear 20x10 - 285/30/20
Will this tire size be ok?
What offset do you suggest?
I want the rim to sit exactly flush with the body of the car. I DO NOT want them poking out but at the same time I DO NOT want them tucked in either!
(even if you dont like or agree with the rims im putting on please help anyway)

Charmz~just call Derrick at D2. at least give him an idea of what you're looking for and maybe he can get you in the direction that would suit your pocket. you dont necessarily have to buy from D2, but, Derrick can offer quite a bit of advice and guidance to get you where you'd like to take your car. he may even be able to get you in a set you have yet to see

Also, Derrick's right. they did a good job 'branding', etc; i know one of the mfr's for their wheels, since it's MIC...(yes D~i do know a wheel mfr in china) so i do know cost of some well known wheels

evidently, it's not a lot of CL'ers cup of tea; though it just may be your's
just remember, knowledge is power, so gather as much info as you can before making such a large purchase! GL!

Nothing baller about that look. When I see cars on huge chromies it looks ghetto and hood rich.

A friend of mine is running DUB MOGUL's on his '00 GS3 that sits perfectly in my opinon.

8.5x20 with 35 offset in front - 245/35/20
10x20 with 38 offset in rear - 275/30/20

how much does offset make a difference?
the giovannas do not come in 38 but rather a 42!

IM EXTREMLY PICKY.
I WANT DEEP DISH, FULL FACE CHROME WITH UN-EXPOSED LUG NUTS.

I just cant seem to find many rims with this setup?
The only 2 rims im considering are these Giovanna and the Dropstar DS04
http://superbuytires.com/DropStars/DS%2004/

unless someone else can show me another set of same size rims in chrome with deep dish

1. i posted the link to Work to help ya out
2. offsets make a world of difference (day/night)
3. you want deep dish = lots of lip = low offsets
4. call Derrick at D2; he helped me out a lot and i required a world of patience
5. do more research

good luck

Seriously dude, we're not trying to give you a hard time, just trying to help. The rim/tire decision is THE most important move, and probably the most expensive, choice you will make on your car and will dictate the theme of your ride. Take your time. Shop around. Read and surf the web more. You dont wanna get suck w/ running spacers or end up selling your wheels 2 months down the line for 60% of what you paid for.

We're not conspiring to get you to buy from CL vendors. They have just have proven themselves time and time again w/ consistent results and knowledge and happy members to prove it. If anything, just PM vendors or other moderators or member's cars that your feelin. Just gain knowledge and make sure you know what you want before you pull the trigger.
