Sorry for the late response.
I didn't. The guy who painted the car did it. But is a piece of cake.
I bought it from Autozone $15.). Its not exactly the same but if I didn't tell you, you wont notice. Orig. is a little wider and fatter.
Pay attention to the ends cutting. One roll give to both bumpers.

I know this thread is old. However, I have a question just like the other posters in here (that has never been answered clearly).

How do you remove the OLD chrome strip? Is it adhered to the car with adhesive (like the new strip)? Will some fishing line work?

I'm wondering the same thing. My strip is flaking and looks very ugly. Does that strip from Autozone cover the entire car? Or just the bumpers.

My local autozone didn't have it. I had to go to pepboys. I bought a roll for $18 or so, and it was enough to do the front and rear bumper. Although the width is the same, the thickness of the material is not as thick as the OEM stuff. It goes from Chrome layer ---> Rubber layer ---> Adhesive. The pepboys stuff doesn't really have much of the rubber layer.

But you dont really notice it when it's on the car, unless you look at it. Those who dont know your car will not even notice. The adhesive from the pepboys strips are from 3m so they'll stick well as long as you clean off the old crap.

I am assuming that a heat gun is the best plan of attack for removing the strip.

pepboys has it for $17. to remove the old trim just get a screw driver and pry off one of the corners. dont chip ur paint. then just pull it off. the pepboys trim is called 3/8" wheel well trim. it fits perfectly in the rear bumper. i had trouble with the front bumper. 3/8" is a little too big for the front bumper. so i had to push it as far in as i could. im not sure if the adhesive on the back is even touching anything. i feel like i did a half *** job in the front, but for 17 bucks i can try again. ** or if you can find 1/4" for the front it will work better.
