Looking forward to buying my first GS300 Lexus (Advice Needed)
Hey everyone, I am new here to the Lexus froum. I was on the market for a MB E class or a BMW 5 series but had a change of heart due to the endless problems with those cars. I am upgrading from a 04 pontaic grand prix gt. Which is a POS. My brother made me a firm believer of the GS. He purchased his 98 GS300 in 05 with 128k. The same year, I purchased my 04 grand prix with 14k miles. I have brought my car into the dealership endless number times for engine and electrical work. I have even paid $2,300 outside of the warranty. My brother car on the other hand has only been serviced once for a 02 sensor. His car is pushing 240k miles now strong. I need a reliable car and something that still looks beautiful. I have had it with the American cars. I also dont want to pay the maintenance with a German. I am looking to spend no more than 17k for a GS300 with about 60-70k miles. Any advice to a soon to be owner? Which are the best years?? Also can you add navi to a non navi GS?

Isn't the V6 supra motor better than the V8 version?? No disrepect but I dont want a gas hog. So I can take the stock navi unit out of a GS and but it in a non navi GS with no problem? I dont really like aftermart.

Why mess around with swapping navigations systems.? Buy a GS that comes with one so you dont have to deal with the pain.
