Other than the Antarctic and South Pole, where is it ALWAYS snowing?
And arent BOTH the 300 and 400/430 RWD?
My 400 with winter tires does better than most FWD I've owned.
I second that! That snowing comment made me laugh too. These cars behave identically on snow being RWD. My old LS400 did wonderfully on snow and ice when we used to drive to Denver and back. I know it'd be the same with the GS430.
Just remember the commercial for V8: "I could have had a V8"
Test drive both. You'll see a big difference between the models performance-wise.
For so much more HP for so little more MPG, it's entirely worth it to go for the V8. Unless like others say, you turbo out the GS3. Then, you'll put all us GS4 owners to shame.
GS400 FTW. Gas mileage difference is negligible, I get 18.5-19.7 MPG in stop and go bay area traffic(over one hour each way average speed 32mph) I know people with a 300 that gets the same and some worse :eek but the power difference is amazing!!!

I have a GS300 and have a horrible time in the snow. But unlike a FWD I can help it out by adding a couple of sandbags in the rear to get better traction.
