saw a gs430 for sale with a bad motor, and was wondering if you can swap a 4.7 in there. just looking for a straight bolt-in engine swap. not looking to do custom mounts and stuff like that. thanks

 

Lextreme would be the guy to talk to. Anything can be done for the right price, but I think you might run into more complications on a 2GS.

 

For starters I know that the oil filter is in a different location. The oil pans are different.

Lextreme is the right place to go. he put a 4.7 L block into an SCxxx. He reused the 1uz(4.0 / 4.3) heads onto the 2uz (4.7). I think the core block is the same but you will probably need to change everything short of the block.

Why would you spend the money to get just .4 Liters? Just do the GS430 swap and call it a day. I think the 4.7 is a great upgrade for the 4.0 but not the 4.3.
