Default Heated seats and Auto climate control?

Are the heated seats on 1998 gs4 tied in with auto climated controll. I just picked up my car today and I love it. Drove it over 400 miles and it was a joy every mile. Just dont feel much heat from the seats. Wasnt very cold around 40 degrees so maybe that is why. I have a feeling they dont work and if they dont can anyone tell me how hard to fix and how much. I will get some pics up maybe tomorrow when its daylight.

i have an '03 w/heated seats, and to my knowledge, i think the seats heat up the same as whats on the dash. i noticed in the morning when its cold, i hav the heat blasted to 85-high and my seats get suppper hot and when i set my temp at about 80- low the seats are just warm and comfy. i duno if that helpd answer the question.

yeah.. like i said, to my knowledge i think it matches w/wats on the dash-- i only use my heated seats in the morning cus its cold *** hell and gets negative outside and during the day i dont use it as much.... try driving it with 85-high and see if ur buns get warm!

I've made my own conclusion that the heated seats are somehow tied into the temp. on the dash or A/C. When it's 30 outside they get really warm but tend to cool down once the inside of the car warms to normal temps. I actually prefer it this way. Just enough for you to notice rather than being uncomfortably warm all the time...
