GS-430 Gearshift Lights

You have to remove gearshifter handle, by twisting it, then remvoe the ashtay. Then pull the console wood starting from center storage console. Carefully pry the wood, VERY carefully applying consistant pressure to the different sides so you dotn break anything.
Then remove the plastic cover (the one with the gear shift letters and numbers printed on it) Might have to remvoe some obvious screws, and you got yourself a #74 bulb. Make sure you reuse the green cover on top of the bulb.
Good luck.

Wait a minute... there aren't any screws, just pull carefully by unsecuring the tabs to the plastic, then remove that piece. I think its held there by 2 or 4 locking clips.
not sure about the AM FM buttons.

I've changed that light a few times and those tabs feel very brittle. Be careful with them.
This is the same reason why I changed all my interior lights to LEDs. I bought an LED replacement and then it came with two so I replaced another thing. Then nothing matched so I bought a replacement for all my bulbs.

I dont think theyr'e the same type 74 bulbs.
You can buy the LED bulbs at www.superbrightleds.com
The white bulbs are MUCH better than the regular bulbs we have in the car.
