well after snow stopped. i figured it would be easy for us to see it now with clean white snow under it. we backed car up and there was a small brown spot in snow. really small after it sat all night. it was about the size of a dime. Must have a small oil leak. Nothing i wouldnt expect from a car 10 years old. I told him just to watch his oil light and check his oil till weather breaks and can get it on ramps to see exatctly where its comming from. where its at it looks like it would be either drain plug or oil pan gasket.

well snow finally melted and figured it out. and it was not a biggie at all. looked around the oil pan for a leak being I saw a small drop of oil on the plastic engine cover under the car. looked around and saw a cheap napa oil filter with a brown stain running all the way down it and a little drop of fresh oil getting ready to drip off of it. Oil filter was tight so im figuring change oil and put fram filter on it and should be ok. propably bad seal or something on cheap filter.

Too many issues to give a definite answer.
Could be you had stuff on your driveway and water dripping off of the car mised with it. It doesn't take much of either to make a spot.
If there was snow on the ground and it splashed on the plastic liner it probably washed off some of the road gunk already on the liner.
After the last oil change if they didn't clean off the oil that dripped from the filter it could have ended up there.
Best bet....When it's dry put something under that spot when the car is first parked and the engine is still hot see if it still does it.
Good luck
