New GS430 Owner
Hello all. I've been reading the forums since last month when I first purchased my car, but now I've decided to introduce myself. After having 4 other different automobiles since I got my license, I've finally purchased the "right" one. Started off with a 1999 Nissan Altima --> hit a telephone pole at 65mph. Then I got a 1993 Ford Taurus Wagon. Then I sold that car and bought a 1994 Acura Integra. I did the immature speeding on backroads deal on my birthday and wrecked it. Then I bought a 1995 Audi 90 Quattro for 600 bucks from an older lady. Kept that for just over a year and then I sold it for 1200 bucks (to cover taxes and registration on the Lex lol). Now I have a black 2001 Lexus GS430. My boss used to own a Blue 2000 GS400 and then he later got a 2005 Lexus SC430. He actually ended up wrecking both of those cars despite being significantly older and one would hope more responsible. After being around both of those cars, I knew I had to get one when the chance struck. So here I am at 20 years old on my 5th car and needless to say I worked my *** off for it (legally). This isn't a Mommy bought Son a car story. I look forward to reading/posting on these forums.
I noticed in others peoples posts people demanded pictures, so I'm going to save that and post them now.

Looks clean!
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to CL. I'm fairly new here too, and CL members are awesome (for the most part).
Let's see pics of that interior!
If you don't mind asking, how much you drop on it?

Well, when I went to go look at the car, someone had removed the ML system in favor of an aftermarket speaker set up. When I got the car, the speakers were blown. So, I was able to use ML being gone and blown speakers as a barginning point. The car is in excellent mechanical condition. The car currently has 72K after being driven almost 3K by me already. I picked the car up for 12,179 without taxes or anything. I must say that I love it to death and certainly respect it's power alot more than other 20 year olds would. Unfortunately, the car has tan interior, but I'm alright with that. The interior itself is in great shape with no rips or tears. The leather was kind of dirty when I got it, but I have since corrected the problem. Here are the pictures of the interior as requested.

Here's an engine bay shot. It's not the cleanest in the world, but give me a sunny day and it will be spotless. It's been doing nothing but rain and snow since I got the car lol. The only time it's been nice is when I'm at work.

look at it this way, one front ML door speaker will set you back a little less then $200, and thats discounted CL/forum pricing from a ways back... ive had to replace one myself in the past. for the cost to replace a full set of ML speakers throughout the entire car im sure you could have a pretty insane aftermarket system. i had enough of that with my last gs, so i make due with the stock ML/nav in the 430.

Welcome to CL ... Nice pick-up man that is an AWESOME price, I bought my 430 about 7 months ago with the exact same color combo and year, mine had about half the miles of yours, but with no NAV/ML ... and I paid almost 10k more !! I'm also turning 20 at the end of the month , The power in this car is great, enjoy

I just threw kicker components in the front and coaxials in the rear and called it a day. I got a set of Kicker L5s with a 800rms mb quart amp from my old car. But I'm debating. The GS needs more than 2 10s lol.
Thanks all for the comments.
