Default Need a advice...

My black GS300's exterior is in okay condition. The hood has heat creaks from I guess not a very good paint job and rock chips from driving on WA roads, the bumber's paint is starting to peal into little black flakes, the right fender has minor damage due to a ball joint failure, and small minor door dings here and there. Well the question is should I get the whole car repainted or just repaint the hood, bumper and fender while get a very good detail on the car? Thanks guys

if you're going to do it, do it right. repaint the entire car and detail it.

Isn't repainting the entire car 2grand?

At this point, I'm not sure our cars are worth the money, considering the low value of our cars now at resale. You'll only recoup a very small percentage with a clean paint job.

Now of course this is from an investment-minded standpoint. If you got the dough to spend, use it or lose it!

Depending on your year, the car's prob worth around 10k. To drop 1/5 of the worth of the car on paint seems like a waste. To drop 1/5 of the value on the suspension or engine or some other major part of the car would be worth it, in terms of protecting your investment on the car and to drive it for much longer.

2k on a full paint job is actually pretty cheap ... I've heard of prices going all the way up to 6k for full paint ... And well, if you're planning on keeping the car for a long time I say go for it ...
