LOL omfg... thanks for the good laugh....

It could be your ball joints, struts, or springs. Get them checked out.

Reminds me of Grand Theft Auto 3 xD

sorry had to stop ROFL

my guess: springs or shocks need some grease. put it on a lift and push upwards to locate the culprit! GL!

Yeah, it's pretty funny. I should have prefaced my post by letting everyone know that there was no one in the back seat of the car at the time this video was shot.

So I told you before that I took it to Midas for a free inspection and they couldn't figure out what was causing the noise. They basically sprayed an entire can of WD-40 in and around all of the suspension parts on that corner and ended up concluding that it was a bad shock (but the shocks were just replaced less than 2 years ago so I'm not buying that theory).

Anyone?

Yo E-Man that was a classic... I wonder if the suspension bolts in the trunk are loose at the top of the strut mount.

I just listened to it again, and I'm laughed out loud too.

But seriously guys, come on, what the heck could this be? It's been like this for a few months. Do you think it might be dangerous to drive on?

Thanks, cxp. Is that something that's easy to check on? I mean, could they be so loose that I would feel it with my hand or is it something I wouldn't be able to tell by looking/trying to turn it?

Bushings for sure, but you have to find out which one it is.
To check, start spraying (wd-40) one by one then hump it and on to the next bushing and hump some more untill you find the one that squeaks. The bad thing is I think you will have to replace the arm because I don't think they sell just the bushings.

try instead of WD40, a product called LIQUID FILM. it's a brown-yellowish can I've bought from Canadian Tire (our canada wide local home/automotive etc store) it's more like grease instead of wd40 which dries, the liquid film doesn't, it's always wet... something like that... just better than WD40 in some times.

Here's the thing. Midas sprayed WD-40 on every suspension part back there, including the bushings in the control arms, and even after all the rubber bushings and other parts were completely lubricated, it still made the sound. Like I said, Midas concluded that it must be the shock, but unless I take the corner apart, I'll have no way of knowing, right?

I'm sure something thicker like that is better in the long run, but the wd should fix it temporarily if it hits the right spot.

if the shock was the problem; unless it's just to get rid of noise and ditch the car, he's not going to throw one cheap autozone shock in there when the other three are fairly recent oems with most likely different characteristics. plus labor would probably be about $150.

I kind of doubt it coming from inside the shock. it sounds too loud for that to me.
