Default Mirrors Q 98-05?

Are the mirrors for this 2nd Gen GS interchangeable from year to year 98-05?? I am told that some are heated, but all are powered interchangeable, just depends on wether you have the heat feature... and if you will get to keep it based on the one you replace it with. But as far as the mounting is concerned, they will work. Can anyone confirm this? Also, were any folding mirrors available for this generation GS?

Thanks,
Rock

98-05 all have heated mirrors.

98-05 GS400/430 had auto-dimming while the 98-00 GS300 had it as an option. Not sure if the 01-05 GS300 had optional or standard auto-dimming.

No folding mirrors were available on the 2nd gen GS. Don't know if any overseas 2nd Gen had them.

Are you sure? I have an '01 GS430 and I DO NOT have the auto-dimming feature, which really sucks

edit: I DO have the feature on my rearview mirror, but not on the side mirrors ...

If you're wondering. Almost every car in Asia has auto folding mirrors. It might not be standard, but is a option on pretty much every car. Toyota Corollas, Honda Civics all have it as an option. Yes the GS over there has it as well. If you can find a mirror assembly with the control unit, then I'm sure you can convert your car to auto fold as well. How useful will it be? I live in Texas so the chances of me using it is extremely slim unless just to show off the cool factor lol.

I have a GS4 but sure does a crappy job of dimming compared to the rear view mirror on my windsheild.

I have power folding mirrors You'll probably need the switch, relay and mirrors to make it work.

heated sides? mine's got a long piece of ice stuck on it and didn't fall off for 2 days at least....
and yeah, my 98 GS4 got auto dim all mirrors, the center one have a button on it and a dim green light... guess when the green light was on after pushing the button means auto dim feature's on...

Heated mirror should come on when you turn on your defroster.
