gs400 > 540ia

gs400< 540i6

but the gs just feels much better. Lighter doors. smoother ride etc

WRONG!

I owned GS400 and 540i(auto)...
540i blows away the GS400!!! END OF STORY!!!

BMW handles 10x better, feels planted on the road (but it does have issues) unlike the Lexus products...

I owned a 540 i 6. my opinion is the lexus just feels better

i took a 540 (assumed auto) by two car lenghts up to about 90mph. and it was not a launch issue bc i was gaining on him. this was in my98 gs4

ive owned a 540ia before and I do have to say that the 540ia is way faster than the gs4
