Default HID Fog Mod

Thinking of adding HID Fogs.. I just picked up 2 replacement fog lights (with the yellow filter), but I was thinking of adding HID to make them stand out. Has any one had any luck with the HID kits on ebay? I found a couple 9006 kits for around $2-300. I've heard some horror stories with cheap kits so - obviously I want to avoid cheap knock offs. I dont want to cut into the wiring so just a plug and play kit is what I'm looking for.

With ebay, they're all knock offs. Unless you KNOW what you're looking for.

Check out that web site! Awesome place. Had problems with my HIDs, and they sent replacements for free!

It's really easy installing HIDs. You don't even need the Wire harness! Just plug and play! W00t! I have 5000k for my headlights, and my fog lights. It looks really nice at night ;]

Yup I agree. It looks good. I just did mine last week. 8000k top and 6000k bottom. I need to polish my headlights because my fogs are brighter than my headlights. =)

Good suggestion Milky.

Just thought I'd chime in here to let people know about a sponsored sale on MobileHID kits. Below is the link for the IS250/350/ISF owners. MCE, your vehicle will require the 9006 bulb style kits.

The special order form is here: http://www.mobilehid.com/cl.htm

GL!

This might be stupid but.. does the $160 include a 'set' of 2 bulbs? I really... dont want to get a package for just 1 side of the car. $160 seems too good to be true :-)

I supose I could write them but from the sounds of it mobile HID is popular around here.

thx in advanced

You don't need to break the yellow capsule for the installation. You can either trade yours for clears, or keep yours. I would honestly keep yours, it makes the car looks a little more original

I borke mine. I just used a screw driver to break it and shake out the broken glasses. Just make sure if you are doing it, I suggest selling yours or trading it for clear since it's in high demand, but make sure to get all the glass pieces out.

Hello,

I saw that someone has already linked you to our promotional spring pricing link so I will just add in some of the differences that you can expect with our product:

- Japanese bulbs and ballasts that are manufactured in ISO certified facilities that are also TUV compliant.

- Proper wiring harnesses that will power the ballasts directly from the battery as opposed to the OE wiring. You will get 1 harness per side as opposed to 1 harness for both. The benefit of having one harness per side is that should a fuse/relay ever go out on you you will have one functioning side. With a single harness design if a fuse/relay ever goes out on you both headlights will as well.

- We have been a supporting vendor on this forum since 2004 and have been selling HID conversion kits since 2001.

If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to send me a PM or email to info@xenondepot.com

Regards,

Steve

I got a set off ebay for 105 (6000K) for both headlights and fogs and they work perfectly. Only issue I had was the rubber washer was too tight and I had to take the retaining ring off the fog assembly to properly install. Guarantee that no water will make it past there.
