Default Almost did it!!!!

Sorry guys. I almost sold my GS to save some money on gas. What was I thinking. I think gas would have to be $5.00 a gallon before I got ride on my car. Next time I get that idea in my head would someone please smack me back to reality.

its actually pretty surprising how bad the I6 is on gas. Compared to my old Integra, my IS 300 in Vancouver is a pig. On the Aristo here, I can go for a fun drive, hit boost a few times and it'll literally be 1/4 of a tank.

Still totally worth it though

It's kinda funny to read these cuz I'm considering a GS3 and looking at how much I'd save on gas over the Cadillac I've been driving the last 4 years. My common sense says I should go get a Civic or something and get 30 miles a gallon but I don't think my heart could take it. I've always loved the 2GS's but I think with gas prices it'll have to be a 300 instead of the 400 or 430.

I did some more research on it. Looks like it's not gonna work out. Engine has to be designed a certain way with the valve deactivation. I'll still try it to see what happens, but I don't think it will work.

So this is what high gas prices do to a man?! Shocking!
Do you do mostly highway or city driving? If it's city driving, I'm sure your bolt ons would help with gas. I'm pretty sure I'm saving gas after my mine went on.

Yep you got a point. It could be a lot worse. My uncle drives a V10 excursion and he's now considering buying a honda to daily drive. That I understand. In my house, the GS is the gas saver because the rest of our vehicles are trucks and SUVs that get no more than 13mpg.

Back when I drove my modded GVR4 I would get 24 mpg with the boost set to off on teh EVC and 16 when I was spooling at 19psi.
