Someone hit my car in the parking lot today.
So I come out from my last final ready to go home and I see a note on my car. Someone witnessed my car getting hit by some girl who didn't even know she hit me. The witness told me he was sleeping in his car and he woke up because he heard a loud crunch sound and saw the Jeep hitting my car. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
I'm not even parked badly. She said she didn't even hear anything and didn't know she hit my car. It's going through insurance though. Do you guys have any idea how much it'll cost to repair? I'm afraid the paint won't match and I want that panel replaced instead of popped out.

ideally you dont want panels replaced. Since it is a quarter panel it would have to be cut off and a new one welded on. The hit is not bad and can probably be fixed. Paint match is difficult on the white but not impossible just have to find a good body shop to do the work. Damage there probably looking at less than $3000( high estimate).

You're looking at $1500 minimum going up to the high estimates of $3500. Since it is the quarter panel, Lexus advises the shop, when done absolutely perfectly, to paint the entire quarter, the C-pillar, and the entire roof of the car. Not to mention the body work and blending into the trunk and rear door. Now, this is a 3 coat paint process, so it is very expensive. Since it is going through her insurance, get it done right.

That hurts
Hopefully you will get everything repaired the right way and she'll be good as new. Big props for the guy that let you know who hit your GS and glad that the girl didn't get away .

well, sorry to hear about your car damage.
however, your car is parked and you are not at fault at all.(that is the easiest case for your repair, since the lady's insurace SHOULD take care of the bill, at any cost)
if i were you, i'd check around and see if there is any Lexus preferred body shop near by, or just go to the dealership, or ask the dealership for a referral.
last time when i got hit, i went to a 'lexus preferred shop' and they replaced my whole rear bumper although only a minor paint defect. But, heck. I want a perfect fix!!! i believe any preferred shop know how do match the color professinoally.
if u are in N.Cal, PM me.
anyhow, GL.

You have 2 options concerning the insurance. You could go thru hers or yours. If you go thru yours you may have to pay your deductable and then sue her to get that back. If you go thru hers you won't have to pay a deductable but you will not have as much control over which repair shop does the work.
