CF on a dark color car is acceptable. I usually hate ANY lexus with a CF hood or anything CF, it makes the car look cheesy, sort of ricer like the honda guys CF hood, roof, trunk, lips, etc.
I go back and forth on CF. Some of my VW brethren are running CF hoods, doors, fenders, and anywhere else they can save weight, but it's primarily to lose weight and increase the power-weight ratio. They also paint the panels in order to make the car flow better visually. I will say it looks more discrete and flows better on a black car, but more than anything it should flow with the overall theme of the car. CarbonGS car is a fine example of that. Just my .02....
