Default Smoked headlights?

Has anybody smoked or 'black pearled' the headlight shrouds? Not Flat black or color matched, but just smoked a bit, kind of like the SD style headlights? Pictures would be great!

and spend a useless 600+? No thanks. They are cool, but not THAT cool. I'm just looking at options, as I'm going to open up my headlights soon to do a stock HID bowl 'retrofit'.

I tried it and failed. Just keep them chrome. You'll be happier that you didn't mess them up. And then there's 10th anniversary Aristo headlights.

OK, I'm kinda thinking the same, though my lights already messed up by last owner, he even have the guts to give me the lights painted in Black with flakes (like the elementary school art projects) of gold and green. (In the pictures of the ad the housing is still OEM(though he said he is putting on ebay lights, but I requested him to give me OEMs, don't know why if I'm buying it anyways he would proceed to mess them up.

I tried degooping it or paint thinner and both doesn't really work... thus I got down to sanding it but it's still bad...

I then got around painted it chromish gray, which is still in pretty bad condition. Also, the light housing even have 1 that says HB4 on the front...

I'd say don't mess up a chrome unless there's something wrong with it.

I myself thinks I have to buy a new set of headlights. (I'm running ebay projectors that last owner put on)

As far as getting SD headlights is concerned I have done a swap such as this a while ago. I had to actually take the bezels to a body shop and had them custom paint the bezels. The spray can paint is only good for solid colors such as black/white etc. If you want the true sport design titanium finish then have the bezel painted by a body shop.

Post picture and I'll let you know if it is or if it isnt .

Bezels are advertised in the following thread, also see the pictures of the halogen bowls and compare them to the bowls you have.
