It had been working on and off for a month or so, but slower than usual. I helped it with my hand a couple of time, both opening and closeing, but that doesn't work anymore. Now the motor tries for about a second and then gives up.
I took it out and the motor runs well, but the chain/wires the gear pulls are full of crap. I can't imagine how to clean them inside the tubing / inside the roof and only about 5 inches are exposed. Has anyone had this problem?
The new motor costs about $450 wholesale price from Lexus, but I'm afraid it won't help.
Any ideas???

I say it to my girl everytime; lubrication, lubrication, lubrication!!!
Took everything the 4 nuts that hold the roof glass, and found the cable/track was full of dust/dirt, so I shot it with an air can. Then it was WD40 time, once it started to move, more WD40 all along the cable, until it started to move faster. Not sure how long it will last, but now it won't hurt my trade in value when I go in for a new GS.
Thanks to all of you that helped, NOT.![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Figured I'd answer my own question incase it helps someone in the future.
