One other thing I'd consider is whether your windows are tinted and how dark? I'd think that if the visors were about the same shade as the windows I'd leave them unpainted; otherwise it might be worth a shot to paint them so they'd match the car. Either way they'd look like they belonged with something else on the car and weren't just stuck out there on there own, if that makes any sense.
I think the visors look best when they blend into the car a little, 95% of the ones I see on the streets look tacky and out of place. I hated the things until I saw them on the GS's here, for some reason they look great on a VIP-style GS!

I think it looks better on darker colored cars than light colored cars. Like blk, dark blue, green. My buddy 1st gen was resprayed in that dark green that Chuckb has that 01+ gs430 green, I think its called midnight pine or something like that and they look awesome painted vs blk...

yeah deff a good point made above ^. I saw white ones on a white escalade the other day. It looked nice. Very unique, I had never seen it done until then. it added a nice touch.
