Default clunking noise in driver's front

I've been trying to tackle this problem for along time and it's driving me nuts...
The noise is coming from the driver's side when im cruising going really slow and applying the brakes. I have changed the following parts: upper control arms, lower ball joints, trailing arm and brake pads with fitting kit, strut, tierod end and i have checked the strut mount and looks good. The only thing i haven't changed is the lower control arm,but when i checked it's seems to be good also. What could it be? Could it be the wheel bearings? I have lifted the drivers side and i wiggled the wheel and it also seems to be fine with no movement. Please help!!!

I have changed the front bearing and it's still making the clunk. I'm really frustrated now, this is some bullsh-t...I have spent alot of money trying to figure this out and still nothing... Could it be the following parts:Swaybar bushings, swaybar endlinks or lower control arm that i haven't changed yet.Another things is that i forgot to mention is that the upper control arm is an aftermarket,so could that be of a problem of the clunking noise too? My next part is the caliper and hope thats it or I'm going to go crazy. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Good luck. That's the only thing about this car that pisses me off; the noises and vibration from the front suspension. I may need to look into the wheel bearings also.

I have a similiar issue with my passenger side rattling/squeeking noise that nobody seems to be able to diagnose, the Toyota mechanic retorqued the front stabilizer bar bolts and lubed some areas as outlined in TSB- SU003-02 which seemed to lessen the noise but it came right back. They then said performing TSB SU004-02 which was adding some kind of buffer to the spring/shock that would eliminate the noise but they wanted $260 to do that and I said that was too much to just stop a squeek/rattle/clunking noise plus I was not positive that was the culprit. A few days later I took a can of WD40 and sprayed all the bolts on the passenger side and anything that could be causing the noise underneath the car plus the strut bolts under the hood and it seemed to help out alot and I could barely hear the noise when going over speed bumps but it came back after a few weeks and I did it again which helped again. It seems to do it most during cold months and after washing the car or it being driven in the rain(which I assume the lubricant is being washing off when squirting with the hose or getting wet). It makes the noise when going slow and hiting bumps and going over speed bumps, it does not make the noise when braking or turning. Instead of spend hundreds or even thousands replacing suspension peices that are not broken I will just live with the noise and hit it the bolds/connection peices with a little WD40 when the noise gets too loud, all the mechanics say everything is fine with the suspension and the noise is not a sign of a problem or something breaking so I will just live with it.

wheels bearings dont making clunking noises...kinda hard to see what your talking about since i cant see it...usually we take pry pars and apply stress to locations to find it....does it do it in reverse to or in forward only???also is it only at lower speeds?

I have the same issue. It doesn't make noises when going over bumps but more so when braking into a turn. It's really annoying makes me feel like im driving a cheap car.

My 2000 GS400 with 140k miles does the same......
at start up of acceleration it has a little flapping noise like 5mph to 20mph or so. If any1 could help us would be great. Just bought the car so i cant spend on it much yet. just had to replace the front rotors and its only been about 3 weeks.

Hi,
I have finally fixed the problem after all this time. I just changed out the brake shims, caliper pins and lubed around the castor/trailing arm bushings and on the bolt for the castor arm with grease and no more noise. What i did was just reinstalled everything on that side with the parts.
