Im real low! Im reading half way between the bottom of the stick and the first line. Going to Toyota today to pick up the right type. How much should I pour in there?

Did you check the fluid when it was hot or when it was cold?

When it was hot and the engine was running. How many quarts does i hold total? I guess Ill just pick up a couple quarts and keep filling untill its in the normal range. I just didnt want to buy too much or too little.

Anyone else know?

You have to drain out all of your transmission fluid, and you need 8 quarts to refill the tank. I would suggest not doing this on your own if you're not a DIY type of person.

If you're topping it off, you wont need more than 1-2 quarts. But just pick up 4 quarts in case you might need some more later on. Saves a trip when it's time to do a drain and refill. In fact, now is a great time to do so. Our tranny will drain out 2-3 quarts from the pan.

I recently changed transmission. I bought one from the junkyard and installed it now I can’t put my car in reverse. Is there a specific way to install the driveshaft because it was pointless to mark it because I took out the old one so that wouldn’t matter much me marking it up cause a new tranny was going in now my reverse is not working I’m frustrated looking for the gears from the bottom do I need to put 8 qts in due to the fact that I did a complete swap. Any help is greatly appreciated
