Default How to fix trunk lifts/supports?

My trunk won't stay open at the top, as it will fall back down on my head. I looked around in trunk area but couldn't find any signs of lifts or supports. Are they under the trunk cover and if so, how do you remove the plastic round clips without breaking.

Can tension be adjusted for do I need to replace? THanks

There are 2 tension rods that supports your trunk. just look under where the OEM trunk light is and you'll see it. It's hard to miss. To change the tension, pull back your fender cover in the trunk and you'll see that there are 3 slots for the rods to go into.

Unless yours is disconnected, I dont think changing the tension would do much. Seems like your rods are not that strong anymore.

Thanks Gsteg....I see the tension rods. How do you remove the round plastic clips that hold the fender cover in place?
