Tire Size Question

I want to do a staggered setup on my GS3 with 235/45/17 in the front and 255/40/17 in the back. Has anyone done that to their GS and will the 255 tire fit?

if you're using the stock rims, 255 in the rear is too wide. you would have to use a rim that was 8.5-10 inches wide. stock is 17x8.
