Grill and Fog lights
Hi Everyone,
1. I wanted to get a grill for my GS430 that looks like the IS grill. Black chain link looking and just the L in the middle. I don't like the bar going across like in the RMM grill. Any suggestions?
2. How do I white out the fog lights. They have some kind of a yellow lens inside. That would make any bulb look like yellow. Any idea how the guy in the new GS pics did it. He had bluish white fog lights.....
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Buh Bye

Grille
For the grille I'd look at the TTE (Toyota Team Europe) grille, or the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) if you can find it.
www.tte.de You can get the TTE stuff through Claus Ettensberger Corp here in the states.

Hello Azazel,
I'm the one who posted that photo with the HID foglights...
In my case, I cut the original foglights open carefully... remove all interior housings, and then insert and install the Raybrig HID Type 200. Put the HID foglights inside the oem foglights housing, then seal them back side again with the oem rear-side housing that was cut open. to prevent water entering and dirt entering...
OR, if you just want to get regular aftermarket HID, I think you can just use a screwdriver and "crack" the yellow lens inside the oem foglights. crack them all clean, and shake the broken plastic/glass out, so you won't have the yellow lens anymore. If I'm not wrong, I think the oem foglights use 9006 bulb application.
Here's the link for the Raybrig HID Type200 foglights:

Hope this helps....

The reason why I still want to use the OEM foglight housing is I don't want other people to easily spot an aftermarket HID foglights... (get stolen easily)...
So from outside, ppl think it's factory oem foglights, but underneath is totally different...
