Default ATF drain plug/crush washer

i just started doing a Drain/refill on my 98 gs 400 and i jus bought a new drain plug with about 4 new crush washers. i was wondering if i can re-use the crush washer a couple of times or do i have to use a new washer everytime i undo the drain plug?

It is ok to re-use the same washer when you are doing multiple drain and fills. I would however use a new once you are done with your drain and fill cycle and ready to drive the car for an extended period of time. (i.e. one full tank of gas)

For piece of mind check your garage floor or parking spot for any oil leaks. Also, make sure your transmission is filled to the "full hot" hashmarks on the dipstick and the transmission is at normal operating temp, engine on, and car parked on a level surface when you check the fluid level. If the transmission is over or under filled it WILL act up on you....

I work there, i would not use the same one more than once, it is a few cents, spend the money and prevent any leaks.

You should never reuse a crush washer. They get "crushed" when you tighten the plug.

dealer or auto part stores should have it. Dealer will rape you though. My local lexus dealer wants $1 per washer

Local toyota dealer gave me a few for free because I bought a few things from them
