Ok I tired to close my sunroof today and it would go all the way closed and then open up about 1/4 of the way. when i shut the car off and close it it would work fine, but with the car running it did this. what is up with that?

from reading the owners manual. it seems like its going into safety mode and thinking its getting hung up. I went back out there an hour later and unlocked door with key. horn blew like the alarm went off and then stopped. sunroof works fine now. it says in owners manual that if there is a hard shock to it it can go into safety mode. I didnt hit it hard or anything, just drove home from work like normal. Anybody have a clue.

I have been dealing with the same problem since last year and I just got use to it I guess sometimes it will close no problem and sometimes it will retract partially open.I just toggle the switch to move it inch by inch to close it and Im done.Im curious to know what the problem is as well or a fix for it.

you really need to go by the dealership and have the c-best system reset for the one touch feature. If that doesn't work, at least you will be told what the problem is.

why would I do that? They charge like 100 dollars to look at it and tell me it needs to be cleaned or something. Then charge me to do that. As you can tell Im not a fan of the stealership. It did it one time and now it doesnt do it. Maybe if It persist and cleaning it doesnt help it that would be the next option, but i just dont jump right to the stealership as soon as I have a problem. Try to fix it myself first. But I quess that is just me. Thanks for you input anyways :

Hey its your car, but I have said several times, don't just go to the service advisors and tell them the problem. Go to the techs in the service dept and tell them the problem and see if they will fix it for you. Doesn't cost anything. If you were local I would have you bring it by my dealership.

I would love it if my dealership around here was that friendly. I beleive they would chanrge to check air pressure. they wouldnt even get me my keycode for my car being when I bought it it got lost. They said they would make me a key for around 300. I said I can get remote blank for 99 and have it cut for around 15 dollars if you just give me the key code. they wouldnt do it.
