I was curious about this today so i tried it in my 98 gs400. I drove 40 miles with a little of that being in the city. I got nervous then being it was right on the E so I got gas. Lets see what the highest miles anyone has got before running out.

 

I think we all agree. You won the competition.

 

All you need to do is carry a 5gal of gas with out and then you can really test it out =] lol

 

I'm good for almost 60 miles if I push it that much. Highway of course

 

Wow! And I thought I was pushing it with 20 miles.

 

it's bad for the injector. ur engine will miss fire w/ low gas.

 

common people live on the wildside! somebody try it out and with out gas can . Its kind of like old folks chicken. Your not yellow are you. LOl. if it starts sputtering just get to the next gas station, but you better make it fast.

 

i got 35 with my warning light on last weekend. i was scared to death for a while but i made it through! won't try that again!

 

to be exact by my gps navigation i only went 37.4 miles. but its still not out.

I think ive taken mine to like 30 or 40 miles on the gas light. The needle was already below E and it started to scare me. I know its bad for the car though cause it picks up all the dirt from the bottom of the tank. Shows how little the stock navigation knows when it shows me 0 for cruising range hehe.

 

Even after the needle is on E you still have a couple of gallons of reserve so I'm sure once the light comes on you can probably push it for about 80-100 miles. There must be a couple of gallons even after the needle reaches the lowest point because I've filled up my gas tank while the needle was below E and I only filled it with 17 gallons and some change.

 

Hah...you guys still have a working fuel gauge. In that case, I guess I'm always living wild 24/7

 

I went 43 miles CITY once. Scared so never did again.

 

you got me for now. Im gonna not fill up though and see how much more I can squeeze out. gonna look silly on the side of the road in a lexus out of gas but oh well. I wont be out done. lol.

Couldnt be any worse than my buddy with a cadillac srx getting 1 gallon of gas so he could make it to work to get his pay check.

I dont know to many people that fill up anymore. For one thing it cost a fortune and the second thing is that is just more gas for some one to have when they still your ride or siphon gas out of it. Someone will be pissed if they ever try to steal or siphon my ****. lol
