Default Whats the right tire size?

I just purchased a 99 GS300 and the first thing I would like to do is put on some new wheels. I would like to go with the Concept Neeper - Javv. I would like to go with 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear.

Can anyone recommend what size tires I should get?

Also I don't think I can lower the car for a few months. Just wondering how its going to look with the wheels. Anyone have a pic with 20 inch wheels and stock suspension? I am sure there are several in the gallery but I haven't had a chance to go though it yet.

Thanks for the help.

Most people go with 245/35/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear.

Default Rubbing Noise

Thanks for the help guys.

Another quick question. I was at my local tire shop today to order the wheels and a guy in a GS300 was just putting on a set of 20x8.5 (front) with
245 35 20. When he was pulling out of the lot, his front tires were rubbing against the ribbed portion of the wheel well. Is this something that always occurs? Is there a solution?

Thanks,

Rubbing like that is going to depend on the offset of the wheels, if the offsets are correct you can use those wheel and tire sizes with no rubbing. I've also had wheels that have rubbed the plastic fender liner lightly when you turn the wheel and it hasn't hurt anything. Find out the offsets of the wheels you want and the guys here can help you tell if you'll have any problems.

I'd strongly recommend you lower the car right away; it's not gonna look good with 20's and all that fender gap!

Thanks,
it only rubs on the ribbed plastic no big deal. and for some reason its only on the passenger side when i crank all the way to the left in reverse??? (anyone have an explanation to this?)
go with the 285/30 in the rear.
i was the one u seen at steelcase.

the offsets on those wheels (giovanna ararat) are 35 front 42 rear and it sits 100% perfectly flush to the body. im very happy with the way everything turned out.... i got my tein h-techs with me now, i gotta get them installed and get rid of some of that wheel gap!
