I am extremely careful with my car door, no matter what I am driving or who I park next to. I hate door dings with a passion. Today, I had to go to the post office. Limited parking, narrow spaces. Knowing I wouldn't be long, I pulled into an empty spot as an older woman was getting into her car to leave. If I wouldn't have made eye contact with her as she was getting in, I would have another nice door ding. As it was, when she saw that she was being watched, she was very careful with her door.

I ran in, got my mail and as I was leaving, another car pulled into the spot next to me. I also made eye contact with the other driver. She looked like she was in a hurry, but when she saw the Lexus next to her was occupied and I was watching her, once again, she was very careful to control her door.

I guess the average jerk will behave themselves when they know they are being watched.

I tried to be very careful also, I actually picked up my car from a paintless paint remover place today got fixed 7 door dings and a keyed passenger door, she's as smooth as ever (knock on wood)
