Talking The DIY King has Finally done it!!!

Yes folks you read correctly!!!

Are you ready for this?!?!?! Ready?!?!

OK...I figured out a way to clear out the front signal blinker inside the headlight without taking the headlight assembly apart!!!!! That means no leaky headlight or risk of breaking or melting!!!

OK I have done this mod!!! but not to my car yet(my car is still in the shop), It was done to a extra GS headlight that I had lying around in my garage.

I will do a perfect write up for you guys with pictures and everything!!!..

Things you will need to have and do!!!

1. You will need to take both of your headlights off of your car, which requires you to remove your front bumper (not for the faint of heart)

2. Dremmel or Drill

3. Needle nose pliers

4. Flat Head Screw Driver

5. Patience (Home Depot is having a sale...buy some extra! )

I believe that I deserve my own DIY forum GlobeCLK will be my partner in crime for the GS DIY'ers!!! And if there are any DIY'ers in the other forums throw them in there too!!!

Bring on the enthusiasts!!!

Thumbs up bravo

I've done clearing the yellow lense on other cars (honda) (hot soldering ion, to melt and break the yellow lense, small nose plier to full out the pieces).

I did not want to do it on the GS because I did not know how to open the front bumper. Believe me I tried, but I was not successful in open my RMM bumper. Anyway, DIY King Joe will show me how to open the front bumper, won't he?
hee hee

Anh

(BTW, I found that drill may not be a good idea, since It leaves too many small plastic pieces, stuck in the head light and maybe harder to get them out, depend, but soldering ion will all allow you to break the lense out into several big pieces only and you can just full them out.)

Listen here Paki!!!...I said I am the one who cleared them without taking the lights apart!!!!! Which I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THAT!!!

Manaray did it by taking the lights apart and then he painted the insides which is really cool....but not what i'm about!!!...He risks breaking them, melting them or having them leak...(no offense Manofwar ....I mean Manaray)

When I say I am the man...it means I am the man you understand that Ghandi???

Nice work Joe!

I can't wait for your writeup and pics, but for the faint of heart (me included), exactly HOW much dremeling/drilling is required?

Congrats Joe...I assume you're breaking (cutting) the yellow lens and pulling it out of the turn signal light socket...We looked into doing that too but felt it was too much trouble just to have clear turn signals...but hey, if you guys want clear turn signals bad, then this is one way to do it! I'm sure Joe will do a good job describing how to DIY this one!

Banana also brings up a good point about using a soldering iron instead of a drill to minimize little flakes on the inside...

Here's what the final product will look like...

Manofwar...hehehe, I like that...maybe I'll change my handle...
