road force balancing helped me a lot but not completely... i know this has been mentioned in the past already though..

i took my car to lexus a month or so back and asked them to check all the upper control arms, balll joints, steering rack bushing and lower control arm bushings, tie rods n such and after leaving my car with them i was fearing them coming back and telling me that it would be like $1500$ for everything since it is an old car n all... but they told me all these things were fine... i am wondering if they actually checked it and couldn't find anything wrong with them(((amazingly))), or if they just didn't want to bother cuz i don't think the annapolis lexus dealership techs like my non stock 2gs,,, even though some of them swear its their favorite out of the lineup. hmmm???

mine does it at 60mph. its most likely a necessity of alignment and balancing the tires

luckily my 98 hasnt ever done it. i got it about 3 months ago and it has been well cared for with 1 older owner, but travelled around 128K KM's when i bought it. its now up to around 134K KM's with no issues. I recently (last weekend) dropped it aruond 3 inches with Insurance Coilovers and havent yet had it for an alignment, so all the camber & toe etc is out, but on the stock wheels still with tyre pressures of around 38psi all round i have no shaking at all. i hope i can keep this going when i go up to 19s!

now see you said it your self... on stock wheels you have no shake. just wait till you put those 19's on. if you are buying them brand new there shouldn't be a shake for a minute, but after a year or two a lot of people seem to get it. good luck man i hope she works out...

**UPDATE**
weirdest thing, because mine vibrates at all speeds over 60mph
after i got a car wash, the car seemed smooth on the freeway at all speeds for about 3-4 hours????? i was confused, so something got wet and got rid of 90% of the vibration....

anyone have any ideas....my mechanic at this point is stumped

I am GLAD to say that i no longer have ANY wheel shake at any speed (ive only tested it all the way to 90mph).

I replaced my ball joints, got new tie rods, new tires, balanced and an alignment. And ZIP, no more wheel shake.

I am very happy with my car at this point

HOPEFULLY it will stay this smooth after i lower her next week.

Dont jinx me

Had my wheels re-balanced and a laser alignment... neither solved my 60-70mph shake issue. I had it with my stock wheels but it got worse when I went to 19s. And it's most definitely a shake not a vibration.
