Weapon R intake Problems
I put on the Weapon R intake on last night....
Problem 1: The filter doesn't clear the hood....and i don't see how it could have ever cleared the hood.If you rotate the the intake down, the MAF twists and hits the engine bay.
Problem 2: When I restarted the car it ws freaking out...reving up and down \, up down....
Problem 3: The check engine light just turned on
WHAT TO DO?

oh man u made a big mistake on the install.... did you take off the negitive on the battery? the car thinks you still have the stock intake, since the new one is flowing so much air its confused.
about the filter not clearing... i dont know what you mean about the MAF hitting mine clears andi have the 4" filter just lossen the top part and move the filter down about 1cm.... it shoudl be about 2cm away from hitting the body of the car.
the check engine is from not resetting your ECU
leave the negitive off for 15 min at least.

well...if you really want to know...
I used lexusrules instructions to the exact word....there are some errors in it though...like you need to remove three screws on the intake box.....and why do you NEED to remove the stock hoses? You can attach them to the "T"......
And I let the ECU reset....the neg was pulled for about an hour....I will go do it again in about 1hr and let you know...I'll also take some pics.....

never had problems.. did you possibly mount the maf backwards? hahahhaha i really dont know, also u should use the new vacum hoses are nicer and the one from the engine doesn't strech to the new intake.

If you have idling problems i think you may have mounted the maf backwards.. Some cars with a MAF have a problem with the ecu tweaking out sometimes , because the ecu runs with a Stock intake for so long it know;s it's perameters , when you change something you need to re-set the ecu.. How you go about this is simple, just disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and then start the car and DO NOT REV the ENGINE.. Let it idle for about 15 minutes and it should be fine.. The ecu needs to go through a new cycle to adjust to the new peramters..
I hope this helps..
