LED tail lights problems!!!
so i just purchased a set of LED tail lights from ebay adn installed them yesterday and it was a very simple installation so it seemed. i got them in adn working but my tail light sensor on my dash went off adn i cant figure out why? anyone have this same problem or have any input as to why?
i do notice at night time when i have my lights on the fifth brake light on my spoiler is on wihtout even braking. it should only come on when i apply the brakes but its just on all the time. any input anyone cuz i did not mess with the fifth brake light at all

well these tail lights came with a wiring harness adn its a simple plug and play i just dont know what my be wrong.
thanks Ay-nako! i will wait for the pics. i was thinking that maybe cuz they r LED lights that they might send a different signal to my car for some reason adn set that sensor off.
im sure a lot of u guys r familiar with the LED tail lights but u take the bulb out from the wiring harness that comes from the car and it plugs into the tail lights pretty simple adn u just bolt the tail light on. couldnt figure what i could have done wrong cuz its so simple????

The reason for the tail light out signal on the dash is because of the way LED's work. They don't emit as much resistance as normal bulbs do. Saying this, when your car isn't getting the normal amount of resistance it should (because you changed the tail lights), it thinks that the light is out and that is why you have the light out on your dash. You can add a resister to your tails to take care of the problem or just simply take out the sensor in your dash like Ay-nako said

I purchased the snowflake version LED's, which is a somewhat newer version and have no problems. However in addition to it being p-n-p it also came with a resistor plate that bolts to the inside of the trunk lid. I beleive your version does not come with it. So like some mentioned earlier you can pull the bulb in the dash, fab some resistor for the LED's, or ignore the light.

ur brake light shouldnt be on if ur not pressin on the brake..i bought the ebay set up also and had that problem..realized that i had to switch where the bulbs are..u might have mixed up one of the harnesses..brake bulb to regular running lights..or something..jus mess with it..plug the harnesses into different bulbs til u get it right..i did..and worked fine
