Default water leak passenger side

my carpet has been damped for a while now, the back seat behind the passenger and the passenger also, i have read some of the threads and i though it was the sunroof or a bad rubber piece, after taking all the carpet out and taking the bottom cover under the glove compartment i discover that the hose for the ac drain was not completly seal, so the water was going thrue the black rubber mat to the passenger and rear floor carpet, hopefully this is helpfull to any of you out there.

If you hadn't noticed that it was leaking from there, I would have told you. Sucks when that happens.

LOL MAN I THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS ME. I NOTICED IN MY CAR THE SAME THING, SO WHEN I GOT TO WORK I HAD A LEXUS TECH CHECK IT OUT AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE EVAPORATER BOX IS CRACKED AND LEAKING WATER INTO THE CAR, AND MAN IS THIS PART EXPENSIVE. A QUICK AND CHEAP FIX WOULD BE TO TAKE OUT THE EVAP BOX AND SEAL IT WITH SILICONE.THE EVAP ALONE IS $2000. HEY IF ANYTHING EMAIL ME AT POKER240@YAHOO.COM ILL BE GLAD TO HELP YOU OUT. MY NAME IS ALEX BY THE WAY

This is happening to my GS430 also.

I wonder if there is a DIY fix? Shed some light anyone?

A Quick And Cheap Fix Would Be To Take Out The Evap Box And Seal It With Silicone. The Only Problem Is To Get To The Evap Box, You Need To Remove Your Dash Goodluck!

Same problem here on the drivers side. Does anyone have pictures of the evap box exposed, Out of the car or with the dash taken off, exposing the evap box? I don't know how long it would take to remove the dash.

Thanks,

The sunroof can also leak. The plastic around mine had developed a small hairline crack. Went nuts for a few days checking the drainage tubes etc til I actually looked at the sunroof itself. A dap of caulk/sealant did the trick.

FYI— I had the dreaded leak a couple of years ago. Being a condo dweller and not having the capability to even diagnose the issue, I took it to the dealer. They disassembled the interior, fixed the issue, and charged $850 for the pleasure (after -15% coupon).

Earlier this year, another forum (non-car) that I frequent was having an auto insurance conversation, and comprehensive coverage came up. And I thought that this might fall under that category.

So I contacted my agent, who said send in the receipt. Two weeks later the bucks were ACH’d, no questions asked.
