How much $$ to repaint entire GS another color??
My Pearl White 99 GS400 has alot of minor body damage all over the car. I know I'm going to need a new hood, R/L fenders, front bumper (TTE front lip) and a set of sideskirts.
How much would the labor cost to install these parts with a total repaint of the car to an Alpine Silver??

I wouldnt do it. I would respray the same color. Depending on where u go, wat type of paint they use, how many base coats and clear coats u wanna go with, prep job, sanding, removal of all trim/headlights/taillights/wind shields, etc. Your looking at $2k (cheap status ) to $10k (remove every single non-paintable item [including engine] 10 + coats, bomb paint, etc).
I dont think its worth it to repaint in another color. I would just have them respray your existing color. For example, if you wanted to repaint to exactly wat the factory gives you in another color, that will easily cost you $4-5k.

it aint cheap if u go for a full out color change. they take off all the lights, and also try to mask the inner wells. thats where the $$$ goes. if u stuck with a white, but possibly a different white, it should be a lot cheaper. they dont have to paint the door jams.

I think I'll stick with White, it sounds like it will be alot less expensive than changing the color all together. I have a few body shops in mind that I will be getting estimates from. Thanks guys.

i wasn't specifically talking about a gs. but they have full out show cars and yes you do have to remove everything, including windows, lights, and in some cases the motor. every panel than can be removed should be

I agree with carbongs. The range is between 9-12K but the car will look like the paint was a dealer option straight from the factory. Depending on the body shop, they will remove the engine and remove the fenders so every sheet metal that is exposed will be thoroughly repainted.
Either that or you can go with Maaco that only does masking getting over spray on the rubber trims, glass, and even the wheels. With any luck the paint will start to fade after a year and not 6 months

Yeah, a color change is a big PIA to do right. But definitely worth it
if you're building a show car.
Mine was resprayed a variation of the stock Spectra Blue, three-toned
with darker blue above the body line and a black roof with blue pearl.
We also stretched the fenders, added fender vents, vented hood, shaved
the trunk spoiler and the windshield squirters... added a Supra third brake light.
Lots of detail items, but the color was close enough we did not spray the jambs.
Total bill for a job like that is about $12K, but my paint guy is one of the top
paint & body guys on the West Coast. The paint material alone (PPG Vibrance) was about $2K.... just for perspective.
