Default Gs 300 and paddle shift?

I thought the gs 300 didnt have paddle shift like on the gs400. I thought that was one difference.

ok this is crazy. i looked at every year of gs 300 from 98 to 2002. 98-00 had no paddle shift. Then in 01 they put it on them and took it off of 430. That is weird. Why would they do that?

Also have it and only find it useful in traffic.

I don't use it but someone told me that it's feature that can mess up your transmission. Never heard of that though.

so you can be in the right gear at the right speed?

i only use e-shift to downshift or touge. upshift is extremely lazy for the most part.

I think the paddle shift is awesome! I just got an 04 gs3 and didn't realize the "UP" shift button was on the BACK of the steering wheel! I felt like a little kid

Using the paddle shift I went down 3rd ave here in Manhattan, from Mid town tunnel to Houston St...it was a lot of fun!

I've driven the 08 IS250 using the paddle shift and I think it sucked. I've also driven an 02 Acura TL-S in manual mode, doesn't have "Paddle"Shift but you +/- gears with the shifter itself. The was fun, but I think my gs3 is a lot more fun.

Cyco, in traffic you can move from one lane to another quickly by using paddle shift. Give it a try but be careful. If you know how to drive stick, you'll be fine.
